Introduction

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, do the same job in a different way. This policy uses “cookies” to cover all of them.

This policy applies to chatty.net, the marketing website operated by AVADA GROUP COMPANY LIMITED (CÔNG TY TNHH AVADA GROUP), a company established under the laws of Vietnam under Business Registration No. 0109524114, with its registered office at 102 Tran Phu, Ha Dong, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Cookies set by the Chatty widget on a merchant’s own store are not covered here. When a Shopify merchant installs Chatty, the merchant decides why and how shopper data is used on their storefront. In that situation the merchant is the controller, we act as their processor, and the merchant’s own cookie and privacy policies govern. How We Use Cookies

We group the cookies on this website into four categories.

• Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to load and stay available, and to protect our forms from spam and automated abuse. These are set without asking for consent because the site cannot work without them.
• Analytics. Tell us which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and where they drop off, so we can improve the site.
• Advertising. The Meta Pixel, which measures how many people arrive from our ads and how many go on to open our Shopify App Store listing. Meta may also use what it collects to show you our ads on its own services.
• Functional. Power features you choose to use, such as the support chat widget, the product demo, and embedded customer videos. The support chat widget follows the same two regimes as analytics and advertising: it waits for your answer where we ask first, and loads with the page everywhere else. The product demo and the embedded videos wait for you to start them, in every country. The Arcade walkthrough waits for a click until you accept cookies; after that it loads as you scroll to it.

Analytics and advertising cookies, and the support chat, are never set before you accept if you are in a region whose law requires that — see Consent banner for the list. Everywhere else they are set when the page loads, until you reject them. The rest of the functional group works the same way in every country. The live product demo and the embedded videos load when you press the button that starts them, and not before. The Arcade walkthrough does the same until cookies are accepted; once they are, it loads as you scroll to it.

One outbound link is tracked in addition: the “Try app free” button routes through impact.com so Shopify can attribute app installs. It sets nothing on this website — the tracking happens on impact.com after you press it.

We do not sell personal data. We do share online identifiers with Meta through the pixel described above, which California law treats as sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you are in California the pixel does not load until you accept, and you can stop it at any time with the cookie settings button below or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal. We run no LinkedIn Insight Tag and no TikTok pixel, and beyond the Meta Pixel no other ad network tag of any kind.

Cookies We Use

The table below lists the cookie categories we set on chatty.net, with the lifetime of each one. Our demo request page is covered by the same consent mechanism as the rest of the site: analytics and the advertising pixel behave there exactly as they do here, and the page carries its own cookie settings button because it has no footer. It does not load the support chat widget. It contacts Cal.com twice: once to read the free slots on our calendar when you pick a date, and again to hand over your booking details. Cal.com’s own cookie notice applies once you reach their booking page. Beyond Cal.com, that page loads no third-party fonts or trackers of its own.

Google Tag Manager is the container we use to load Google Analytics 4 (container ID GTM-MS7MR2QC). The container itself sets no cookies; the tags it loads do, and those are listed above. The support chat widget is not shown on our demo request page, so no chat cookie is set there. The Meta Pixel is loaded directly by this website, not through the container, so rejecting cookies stops it regardless of what the container holds.

Your Choices

Consent banner

Where we ask before setting anything. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, or California, the banner appears on your first visit and no analytics, advertising, or support-chat cookie is set until you accept. Nothing is even requested from Google, Meta, or Crisp before that — not the script, not the connection that would carry your IP address to them.

Everywhere elsethose cookies are set when a page loads, and you can turn them off whenever you want with the button below or the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. We do not show the banner unprompted outside the regions listed above, because we are not asking for a permission the law there requires us to obtain first — but the control is the same one, on the same page, in every country.

To work out which of the two applies, we read the country your connection is coming from. That check runs against chatty.net itself, on Cloudflare’s network at the edge of ours — we do not send your IP address to an outside location service, and we do not store the result beyond the browser tab you are in. If the check cannot answer, we treat you as being in an ask-first region. Within the United States we also read the time zone your browser reports, because the country alone cannot tell us whether you are in California; that reading covers the whole US Pacific zone, so visitors in Washington, Oregon, and Nevada are asked first too.

One thing works the same everywhere: storage written by a feature you started yourself, such as pressing play on a video, runs on the consent you gave by that action rather than on the banner — see Legal basis below. Withdrawing consent deletes the analytics, advertising, and support-chat cookies we set, clears the local storage those tools wrote in your browser, and reloads the page so they stop running; it does not undo processing that already happened. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because the site cannot function without them.

Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored for a site, delete them, block third-party cookies, or block all cookies. These controls sit under privacy or site settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of this site, including our forms.

Opting out of Google Analytics

You can reject analytics cookies in our banner, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on published by Google, which stops Analytics data being sent from any site you visit.

Global Privacy Control

We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or extension sends it, we treat it as a valid opt-out of non-essential cookies and of any sale or sharing of personal information, and you do not need to interact with the banner for that choice to apply. If you later accept in the banner, that explicit choice takes precedence, because it is the more recent instruction you gave us. Reject in the banner to go back.

Legal Basis

Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. They are also exempt from the consent requirement in Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended), because they are strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for.

Analytics, advertising, and functional cookies require your consentunder Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, and we rely on consent as the legal basis under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR for the personal data those cookies generate. Where those rules apply to you — the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — consent is asked for before the cookie is set, and it can be withdrawn at any time. Brazil is handled the same way under Articles 7 and 8 of the LGPD, and California under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, which gives you a right to stop the sharing rather than a right to be asked first — we ask first anyway. In countries whose law neither requires prior consent nor an opt-out mechanism, these cookies are set on our legitimate interest in measuring and improving the site, and you keep the same withdrawal control. The embedded customer videos work differently: nothing loads when the page opens, and the play button tells you what it will load before you press it. Pressing it is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) for that one video, and the cookie lifetimes are in the table above. We do not treat these as exempt from consent — a playback cookie that lives for months is not storage strictly necessary to deliver a single video. The Arcade walkthrough behaves the same way when you have not accepted cookies; once you have accepted, it loads as you scroll to it, under that consent. The live product demo waits for you to start it in every case. Opening a page is never enough on its own, including on our industry demo pages.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when we add, remove, or change a tool that sets cookies, or when the law changes. The date at the top of the page always shows when the current version took effect. If a change materially affects how we use non-essential cookies, we ask for consent again before the change takes effect.
