About COVERARY
COVERARY is an Osaka brand that makes leather phone cases in 32 colors of Italian shrink leather, for more than 1,000 phone models from iPhone to Google Pixel. Cases come in several styles, from notebook cases to back covers, with name engraving, card pockets and straps sold separately.
The challenge: 32 colors, 1,000 phone models and one shopper
COVERARY loses sales when a shopper can't confirm that a case fits their phone or picks a color they are unsure about. The same case comes in 32 leather colors, several styles and versions for more than 1,000 phone models.
These are real questions from COVERARY's chat, translated from Japanese:
- "Is the camera area properly cut out?"
- "The leather is brown and the pattern is D. I can't decide between a white or red heart."
- "I want a strap."
- "I want to see a simulation image of the color and pattern I chose."
In a shop, a salesperson would hold the case up to the shopper's phone and lay two colors side by side. Online, the shopper has to scroll a long model list and guess colors from photos.
A shopper who isn't sure the case fits closes the page, and on an order that averages $35, buying somewhere else is easy.
How Chatty AI Sales Agent finds the right case and the strap that matches
On COVERARY's store, Chatty brings the store's best stylist to every product page. It knows every case, color and phone model in COVERARY's catalog, and helps each shopper pick the case that fits and the strap that matches it. Chatty answers from your own Shopify data: products, prices, stock, discounts and shipping.
What shoppers see on the COVERARY store
COVERARY has two Chatty features switched on, and the AI replies in each shopper's language:
- A message on the search page. A shopper who searches the store sees a bubble above the chat button: "Shall I help you find the best product? 😊"
- The AI sales agent on the store. The chat opens as "COVERARY AI assistant", offers quick buttons like "I don't know the model of my phone" and "Where do I enter a coupon or gift code?", and shows the case on the page with a cart button.
- Replies in the shopper's language. Most COVERARY shoppers write in Japanese and get their answers in Japanese. A shopper who asked in English about the shipping fee to Thailand got the answer in English, with the rate of about ¥1,100.
COVERARY's proactive messages start most of these sales. 2,657 of the 3,439 orders, 77%, came from chats linked to them.

How Chatty turns a case question into a bigger order
When a shopper asks about a case, Chatty takes three steps:
- It finds the case for the exact phone. Chatty finds the shopper's model, like Google Pixel 7 Pro, and says the camera cutout is made for that model.
- It compares colors. Chatty compares two colors and recommends one based on the look the shopper wants, like grown-up and elegant.
- It recommends what goes with the case. Chatty finds the strap in the same leather and color, with its price and a cart button.
For example, a shopper told Chatty "I want a strap." Chatty recommended two straps from ¥1,490. When the shopper added "lime yellow", Chatty found the Italian shrink leather strap in lemon yellow for ¥3,500. Ten minutes later the shopper ordered a lemon yellow Google Pixel case with the matching strap, ¥12,490 in total.

The results: 3,439 orders and $121,520 from the chat
COVERARY got 3,439 orders worth $121,520 from Chatty between March 4 and October 31, 2026. COVERARY sells in Japanese yen, so these figures are converted to US dollars (¥19,318,763).
Half of the revenue from chats with a known topic came from shoppers asking which case, color or strap to buy: $32,626.

These numbers show how the orders happened:
- 99.8% of the chats that led to an order (1,736 of 1,739 with a known topic) had no reply from COVERARY's team.
- 77% of orders (2,657 of 3,439) came from chats linked to a proactive message.
- 498 orders included the exact product Chatty named in the chat, with a median of 27 minutes from chat to order. Chatty marks these orders Chatty Direct in Shopify.
Why Chatty fits accessory stores with many models and colors
Chatty fits any fashion accessory store where one design comes in many colors, sizes or models. Phone cases, watch straps, bags and eyewear all sell like COVERARY. The shopper likes the design, but needs to know it fits and which color to pick.
Here is how Chatty handles the problems these stores share:
| The problem | What Chatty does |
| Shoppers can't find their phone model in a long list | Finds the exact model and the case made for it |
| Shoppers can't decide between two colors | Compares the colors and recommends one for the look they want |
| A case sells alone when a strap would match it | Recommends the strap in the same leather and color, with a cart button |
| Shoppers search the store and leave without asking | Greets them on the search page and helps them find the right product |
| A small team can't reply to every chat | Took 99.8% of COVERARY's order chats from first question to order with no reply from the team |
If you sell accessories in many colors and models, count how many chats ask "does it fit my phone?" or "which color?". Chatty can find the case that fits in those chats and recommend the matching strap with a cart button, so the shopper orders the full set before leaving.
